END OF THE LINE FOR HOSTAGE TAKER

Former President Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada inspects the impact point of the gunshot that killed an unidentified hostage taker aboard a south bound HM Transport bus, as Vice Mayor Isko Moreno (left) replies to His Honor’s other questions. The incident occured earlier this afternoon at about 2pm, along Padre Faura St. near the LRT Pedro Gil Station. The hostage – a minor also aboard the bus – was quickly taken to the PGH for the treatment of minor wounds and mental trauma. The MPD has been widely commended for quickly bringing the incident to a close.
