President Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada delivers brief remarks at today’s kick-off event for the 30th International Coastal CleanUp Day held at the Baywalk, Manila. More than 9,000 volunteers signed up for the event – more than double last year’s 4,000 – to help in cleaning up the city’s coastal areas of the garbage and other debris which continue to pollute the bay’s waters and threaten its ecosystem.
