Members of Manila's Finest led by Manila Police District (MPD) District Director P/Supt. Rolando Z. Nana presented a handcuffed Richard Pring Duran before Former President Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada at City Hall earlier this afternoon. Duran is the sole suspect in the robbery-homicide of University of Manila student Renzo Rei Bodoy, 17, yesterday morning. The victim was on board a jeepney on his way to school when the suspect, posing as a passenger, boarded the same vehicle and tried to grab the victim's bag. Bodoy resisted and Duran stabbed him in the chest, and continued to pursue and stab him even after the student had jumped from the jeepney to try and escape. Mayor Estrada condemned the killing of the young Bodoy and commended the MPD's operatives for immediately apprehending his killer so that the latter can be made to face the full force of the law.
