MANDARIN LANGUAGE PROGRAM


Officials of the City of Manila and the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FFCCCII) sign a second Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) boosting the Chinese language enhancement program wherein volunteer Chinese teachers will teach Mandarin to Manila's high school and college students. Signing the agreement at City Hall last may 18,2015 are, from left, 3rd District Councilor Bernie Ang of the Manila Chinatown Development Council, Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada, FFCCCII President Angel Ngu and Vice President Domingo Yap. In his remarks, Estrada said Chinese language should be taught in schools nationwide, instead of Spanish.
