Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada turns on the switch of another major street lighting project in Tondo, Manila on May 13. The street lights were installed along the length of Rodriguez St., from Vitas Bridge to Ilaw St. Looking on from left: Chairman Dhanie C. Casasola Sr. of Barangay 129, Zone 11 in District 1, Tondo; Councilor Irma Alfonso, Police Chief Supt. Rolando Nana, district director of the Manila Police, and Ms. Ava Cristina Alfonso. The project was rushed by City Engineer Robert Bernardo and City Electrician Lorenzo Alconera following requests from barangay officials and Tondo residents.
