MAYOR ESTRADA GIVES TENANTS ENOUGH TIME TO VACATE LOT

Manila Mayor Joseph E. Estrada talks with Nathaniel F. Abaya, Sheriff IV assigned with the Regional Trial Court of Manila, in Barangay 158 Zone 14 in Tondo, Manila yesterday morning. Abaya was there to serve a court order evicting tenants in a property of YK Realty and Development Corp. as ordered by the court. Mayor Estrada intervened and requested the sheriff to give the tenants and other urban poor settlers enough time to vacate the place, effectively staying the scheduled demolition yesterday.
